Margiela Watch Necklace

A few weeks ago, I went to Aloha Rag to pull for a shoot that I styled and will go live on What He Wears within the next few weeks. I saw this Watch Necklace by Margiela and had to make it apart of my story. The above image, is a still-life image I styled for the shoot, but decided to feature it as separate post. The necklace is available in both silver and gold.

The Local Firm's SPECTACLES


Back in August, I did a Designer Watch Profile on Swedish label: The Local Firm. On Tuesday, I was invited to preview the label's Spring 2010 Collection at their New York Showroom. Designer Axel Nyhage presented key pieces from the collection, which featured the softest tees ever, unlined blazers and denim. As I prepared to dash out of the showroom, running late as usual, he showed me an amazing pair frames. I tried them on and forgot how late I was- I instantly fell in lust. I assume I lusted so much he told me they were mine. The dark and bold thick grey frames inspired by 3D glasses and 80's electric beats bare no logos. Only on the inside of the arms do you see THE LOCAL FIRM and the style's name SHADOW.

Maison Margiela for Les Ateliers Ruby



Safety-helmets are kind of annoying and not attractive, which is why some people do not wear them. I'm not saying it's a justifiable reason because one should wear a helmet and not compromise life for beauty, which is the motto of luxury helmet manufacture Les Ateliers Ruby. Perhaps, skateboard kids and cyclist would be more inclined to wear a helmet if they were as cool as this limited edition Maison Martin Margiela helmet for Les Ateliers Ruby. With luxurious lambskin lining and distinctive drawings inspired by graffiti on the Maison actual window makes this retro inspired helmet kind of sick. Only 600 Pavilion style helmets were made worldwide.

If you are not familiar with Ruby helmets, they are manufactured by carbon fibers- a technology used in aerospace technology, which guarantees maximum strength and ultra-lightness.

While shopping on Browns over the weekend I stumbled upon this awesome Ann Demeulemeester high-top. I fell in love with the three strap buckles that run up the ankle, in addition to, the texture of the leather. It is a perfect twist to a classic trainer.

Don't Tie Me Up

I cannot bring myself to wear a tie. It's a bit unfortunate, but I just do not like the way I look it one. I believe the last time I wore a tie was for my high school graduation, and I am pretty certain I did not fancy wearing one then. My psychological analysis suggests my tie avoidance steams from being forced to wear a
plaid tie when I attended Catholic School. I'm not saying I hate ties all together. They are just not for me. In fact, ties are one of the easiest ways for men to add color and print in their wardrobe. Brad Goreski, from The Rachel Zoe Project, is absolutely adorable in his bow ties. He makes me want one, but I just cannot bring myself to do so. Damn that school!

Zara Celebrates Keith Haring


Zara Man is launching a collection of exclusive tees with pop art graphics by the late legendary artist and social activist Keith Haring. The collection consisting of four tees and two sweatshirts will go on sale this week at Zara locations in over 60 countries. The tees, which feature and highlight Keith Haring's fondness for bold lines and active figures, will be debuted in numerous Zara windows all over the world in cities like: New York, London, Paris, Madrid and Berlin, just to name a few. Keith Haring was an amazing artist whose work reflects major socio-political themes of the late 80's. One of Keith's legendary pieces is his infamous "CRACK IS WACK" mural located on 128th Street and 2nd Avenue, which was inspired by the crack epidemic's effect on New York City in 1986. It was created as a warning and was executed independently by Haring and still exists today. His work carries messages of vitality and unity. This is a celebration of Keith Haring's work and all he believed in.
