Burberry's Carrot Leg Trousers for Fall

What happens when you combine a harem pant and a tailored trouser? You get this handsome carrot pant by Burberry Prorsum. If you are not a fan of pleated trousers these from Burberry Prorsum's Pre-Fall Collection can make one change their mind. When you say, "Pleated trousers,” you might think of the trousers you saw on the pleasantly plumped sales guy at Best Buy, but I assure you, the guy with the onion bagel breathe who sold you that fridge last fall, is not wearing these. These trousers are made by Doeskin wool, which is blend of virgin wool and nylon with a low napped finished on one side. Definitely not your average Dockers, eh? Truthfully, I am usually not a fan of pleated trousers, but this pair is by far the most handsome pleated trousers I've seen in a while.

Kiehl's for Man's Best-Friend

Today’s feature is Kiehl's for Canine; something different for What He Wears. Why? Because what he wears is just as important as what you wear. You should never subject your hair to TRESemme, for example, nevertheless your pup. Hair products we use on ourselves can potentially dry your pup’s coat and make it look like a Brillo pad. Thank goodness for Kiehl's Cuddly-Coat for Man's Best-Friend. It really does make Cooper’s coat super-soft and gives his coat a light Lavender scent, which makes me more inclined to have him sleep in my bed. Lavender scented coat or TRESemme scented? You decide.

This is Cooper's What He Wears debut!

White Shoes

I am normally not a fan of white shoes, but when I saw these-I kind of fell in love. Plus, I thought they would look great with my Jil Sander blazer from Spring 09. I did not think I would get a chance to wear them since the weather, as been a bit unpredictable. Finally, the day has arrived when I get to wear them. It's a beautiful fall day with no chance of rain, yes! I wanted to wear them at least once before New York gets that fall chill in the air. I have realized that it is after Labor Day and according to the Old Fashion Testament, "Thou shall not wear white after Labor Day," but certain rules are made to be broken.

Motorcycle Fever

Cool guys like Marlon Brando, Steve McQueen, and James Dean have propelled the motorcycle jacket to icon status. In a black worn leather biker jacket, Marlon Brando is the epitome of cool resting against a wall in his 1950's film, The Wild One. This fall the biker jacket is having its moment. Luxury brands like Spurr and Balmain, as well as, high-street retailer Banana Republic, all have recreated the iconic biker jacket. Everyone needs a good leather jacket in their closet, and Spurr has a perfect raspberry biker jacket- if you want something more special than your basic black. It's the perfect shade of red that is easy to wear.

Jil Keep Me Warm

I attended Opening Ceremony's Fashion's Night Out party with some friends and we anxiously left the fiesta due to the insane crowd inside and outside the storefront. Is it possible to be overwhelmed and under whelmed at the same time?

Instead, we decided to walk over to Jil Sander's boutique, which is more, my speed. I walked up the gorgeous marble staircase and walked towards the men's apparel, and then realized I was in heaven. Every jacket and coat I tried on fit oh-so perfect. I tried on one of the runway coats and nearly lost my mind. The tailoring was impeccable! You know you are about to try on something divine when you notice a garments sculptural tailoring on a hanger.

Jil Color Block Me

On Friday, my co-worker coaxed me into visiting the Barenys Warehouse Sale. I was reluctant about going because a few days prior, I did not find one thing in my size. I made my rounds pass Lanvin, Margiela and Comme de Garcons and I hear, "Ryan, look at this!" Kimberley, my co-worker, found this lovely color-blocked Jil Sander blazer. Jil Sander is by far one of my favorite brands. The blazer was a perfect fit. Although it is a summery blazer, I might be able to wear it once or twice during the fall. Fashion week here I come!
