Stop the Knock-Off's

Forever 21 top row, and Trovata bottom row

Designers work hard to make their design concepts come to life for high-street chains like Forever 21 to knock-off their designs in cheap fabrics. Yes we are in a recession and not everyone can afford to purchase the latest Lanvin or Balmain or Gucci. But is it right to blatantly copy off of someone else's hard work? It's totally design plagiarism. Which is why Trovata should win their case in court against Forever 21. I am all for this US code which extends protection to fashion design. France has a similar act to protect French designers from such design blasphemy. Why is The United States so slow to grasp certain concepts?
